When you choose Falls Creek for your winter holiday you are choosing a total ski in, ski out experience at Victoria's largest Alpine Resort. If you want to enjoy fantastic snow then there is no better place than right at your door, just click in and go! The resort's highest peak is 1,842 metres, the highest lift is at 1,780 metres, and you will be living at 1,600 metres. Awesome!

Being situated next to Rocky Valley Hydroelectricity Water Storage Lake means that Falls has unlimited access to water for snowmaking. Snow is always guaranteed .... lifts are open for skiing right up to the last day of the winter season thanks to experienced snowmakers and snowgroomers. On average, Falls Creek receives an average yearly snowfall of 4 metres.



Falls Creek's 15 lifts operate from 8.30 am to 5 pm daily and with more than 92 runs to ski, you will be more than happy

With 450ha of magnificent skiable terrain all levels of ability are catered for, beginners through to seasoned downhill skiers, telemarkers and boarders (17% of the slopes are for beginners, 60% are intermediate and 23% are for advanced skiers).

For those with a taste for adrenaline there are 4 terrain parks and black diamond adventure off Mt McKay, Rocky Knobs or the Dam site.

Intermediate skiers can cruise or be challenged with the Advanced skiers on the Summit or in the Maze.

For those who can't get enough... do it at night! Night skiing from the Village Bowl to the bottom of Gully chairlift.



  • Beginners have a sheltered ride on the covered Mouse Trap ski lift. It's great fun!
  • The youngest skiers have their own designated ski area with a magic carpet ride.
  • Drover's beginners terrain park at the bottom of Panorama is the perfect place for kids and adults to get some air.
  • The Fox trail is full of surprises, you may even see a snow dragon. Pete the Dragon, the Falls Creek mascot may know where they hide.
  • Snowsports school - starting from age 3 upwards



Cross-country skiers do not miss out a Falls Creek. . The cross country skiing terrain mix is Beginner 33%, Intermediate 48% & Advanced 19%.

With more than 60km of groomed cross country trails there is more than enough or the beautiful Bogong High Plains to explore. And while you do, say hello to a member of the Australian National Cross Country Team.
